My name is Walt Middleton; I have a bachelor’s degree in History from The Ohio State University where I also had extensive course work in Photography, Environmental Law / Natural Resource Management, and Literature.
To say the least I was one of those odd people who enjoyed school.
While at OSU, I worked for two years in their photography lab as a lab assistant/instructor. I sold my first print almost 9 years ago and now I have images displayed on all of the Big Ten School's web sites, and of course many others as well.
These days I find myself shooting just about every Big Ten and NCAA National event going on.
I focus prmarily on the Olympic sports but I do find myself working the occasional Football game or two.
Oh, and I also find myself working with baby portraits... My wife says I need to take pictures of my little girl. (below) I don't really complain, she is a great model with good facials.
As for goals, of course I’m interested in way too many things but I find that with sports, I actually enjoy being at the games. I was always an athlete and because of that I was always the one playing. Now I’m involved trying to get the shot. I enjoy this, a whole lot more.
